PARIS BRAIN INSTITUTE x ANNE AND CLAUDE FOUNDATION

Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Service of Neuroscience

The Paris Brain Institute is globally recognized as a research center dedicated to the study and treatment of nervous system diseases. Its innovative and multidisciplinary approach brings together patients, doctors, researchers, and entrepreneurs, with the aim of developing therapies and making them available to patients rapidly. Paris Brain Institute’s world-renowned scientific experts are constantly pushing the boundaries of research to innovate and improve knowledge in the neuroscience field.

In this common fight against neurodegenerative diseases, a collaboration between the Anne and Claude Berda Foundation and the Paris Brain Institute was a natural fit. The Foundation thus decided to support the NeurAL (Neuroscience Acceleration Launchpad), which is perfectly in line with its main mission of encouraging entrepreneurship within medical research.

The NeurAL program brings together scientific and industry-specific experts to support and de-risk research and development projects in the neuroscience field. Its main goal is to facilitate the creation of startups and help them overcome the difficulties they may face during the key stages of their development process. By supporting this program, the Anne and Claude Berda Foundation reinforces its strong commitment to innovation and contributes to accelerating the market launch of new therapeutic solutions for brain diseases.

In the coming weeks, two chosen biotech and medtech projects will be joining the NeurAL program. They will therefore benefit from a support period of approximately 18 months to consolidate their project. If they succeed, it will enable them to create their companies, while attracting investors and other startup accelerators who will accompany them in the next development stages.
